the passing of Thelma Georgeson.

Thelma was a great supporter of the library. She started volunteering with the us before becoming a board member, then president of the board. In 2007 she became the Director until 2016. After her time as Director she then once again served on the board and as a volunteer. She maintained her volunteer work until the pandemic started. 

 

Not only was she involved with volunteer work at the library but in the Rupert community as well. She was a member of the Rupert Planning Commission, a judge for the Old Home Day parade for years and in 2009 received the Community Service Award. 

 

In her free time she was an active member of the local card group and Rupert Leisure's. You could also catch her on the golf course weekly.

 

Thelma will be remembered as a friend and mentor to many in our community.
